Fraxinus excelsior is a wood of ancient Mediterranean tradition from the Oleaceae family but always of great topicality due to its extreme workability in dyeing; it is distinguished by its very strong flamed vein.

It is a tree that presents considerable size (up to 40 meters in height) very present in the Italian peninsula, northern Europe and Asia.

Ash has a straight and very uniform grain; a grain that can be highlighted with certain colors, for example, black stained ash veneer turns out very elegant.

Despite being a heavy, hard wood it remains elastic and tough.
