Betula alba is’ a tree of northern European origin, with characteristic marbled bark, whose wood has delicate veins that do not follow a repetitive pattern. Betula alba belongs to the Betulaceae family and includes more than 40 species native to the northern hemisphere. Birches are characterized by their black and white bark due to the presence of betulin granules.
