Tabu D5.S.011 Movingui frisé of the Caesalpiniaceae family, known by the scientific name Distemonanthus benthamianus, is a valuable, three-dimensional wood originating in the West African equatorial zone: frisés are overlapping bundles generated within the wood fiber, and they give the veneer luminescence and iridescence of reflections.

Frisés, like the other three-dimensionalities that make wood valuable, are a gift from Nature whose three-dimensionalities are enhanced by wood dyeing.

It is a large tree that grows up to 40 meters in height.
