Pterygota macrocarpa or Pterygota bequaertii is a species of tree in the Sterculiaceae family that grows in Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone. Its wood, with a “neutral” fiber, is suitable to be dyed by Tabu into veneers of multiple colors, featuring a regular grain ideal for projects that facilitate furniture context.

It can reach a height of 35 meters with diameters up to 120 cm. Tabu 01.057.
